Dr. Laughlin’s tips on Towel Buffing
August 8, 2002

Towel buffing is a critical part of Mist-On tanning. Experienced Mist-On tanners know that this buffing process is a very powerful tool, and use it to get a more uniform tan and a darker tan

.

As of early 2003, we have been recommending Mist-On tanners to start in a position facing or next to the user panel. The second position is facing the rear of the misting area and the third position is facing the opposite side. The final position is facing forward.

In each position, the tanner should stand on the grey pedestal with the front-most part of their foot near the front of the matt.
